The 2015 Annual Retreat and Conference will take place at the Guest House Retreat and Conference Center (http://guesthousecenter.org/) in Chester, CT.
The Guest House Retreat and Conference Center offers a wonderful location for rest and relaxation. While you are at the Guest House Center, you will have access to the hiking trails, lakes, tennis courts and other amenities.
The town of Chester, CT is the place to experience old time New England and is just a short drive away from the Mystic Aquarium, the Connecticut waterfront, and the Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets.
Lodging/Attendance Options (all costs per person):
Two-night stay, from Friday, August 14, 2014 through Sunday, August 16, 2015.
One-night stay beginning the night of Friday, August 14, 2015 OR Saturday, August 15, 2015 (single occupancy and double occupancy options available).
Conference Day only August 15, 2015 (Saturday arrival and departure)
Retreat costs include:

**On August 14, 2015, COSIA will host an All-White Networking Luncheon! During this wonderful event, COSIA will honor The Middlesex United Way and The Connection's "Eddy Shelter" program for their service to women in the community. We will also announce COSIA's 2016 Charity Beneficiary. Community Leaders, Business Owners, Entrepreneurs are welcomed to attend. The cost is $30/person and donations are welcome!
This women-only retreat will allow its guest to relax, refresh, refocus, and renew with a diverse group of positive women without the distractions of modern life.
This event will allow participants to attend workshops, seminar, and networking sessions focusing on “Cultivating Creativity on Purpose”. In additionthe voting level members of COSIA have the opportunity to attend a general membership meeting while all have plenty of time for fun activities at Guest House and in the town of Chester, CT and neighboring communities.
Participants will be able to select from a variety of attendance and lodging options including: conference day only, one night double, one night single, and two night double.
Robin Devonish is an author, lecturer and instructor who provides in-depth presentations on topics discussing the publishing industry, philanthropy and human services as well as business administration. As an entrepreneur, her services have been delivered in person during intensive boot camps and remotely during webinars and online classrooms. For more than two decades, Robin has worked with major organizations to secure over $2 million for literary projects that enhance writing and reading experiences. With her hands-on guidance, Robin has helped over a dozen writers become professional authors. Their published books have received rave reviews and sold thousands of paperback and digital copies.
Some of her accomplishments include:
• Author of four books and author’s consultant on more than a dozen published books
• National public speaker and workshop facilitator on topics including success strategies, self-publishing and creative writing
• Human Services professional with dual degrees and more than 20 years of providing management administration, proposal writing and counseling to government agencies and higher education institutions
The COSIA Women's Leadership Retreat is sponsored by Cultivating Our Sisterhood International Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on building sisterhood among diverse groups of women through networking events, goal-oriented workshops, and volunteering and fundraising activities for charitable causes.
We welcome women age 18 and older, from all backgrounds and levels of experience to join us.

Guest House is located about ten minutes from the Old Saybrook train station. Amtrak and Metro North both stop there, and from the station you can take a taxi to Guest House. From New York City it is approximately a 2 hour train trip; from Boston it takes approximately 2 hours. When you schedule your trip, please keep in mind that Amtrak is frequently late. Metro North is more reliable.

This event is open to all women age 18 and older.

What should I wear?

What is the refund policy? Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
To keep our events affordable for the greatest number of guests, we limit costs by offering non-refundable deeply discounted rates for the annual conference. However, your registration/ticket is transferrable to the eligible woman of your choice.
How do I make an installment payment for the retreat if I have registered on Eventbrite?
Installment payments are available to Early Bird registrants. Early Bird Registration will close March 8, 2015. You may begin making installments sometime in March 2015.
Is there anything else I should know?
By submitting your nonrefundable payment, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cultivating Our Sisterhood International Association, Inc. d.b.a. COSIA, its officers, employees and agents for any and all injury, loss, cost, or expense arising out of your participation in COSIA events activities or travel to and from such activities, or otherwise resulting from your use of event facilities. COSIA assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage, or theft of any personal property brought onto the premises by any COSIA event guests, volunteers, and/or participants.
By submitting your payment, you also acknowledge that you have received, read, understood, and agreed to abide by the terms and conditions posted on the COSIA Website, COSIA membership guidelines, and the notice of photography, audio, and video recording. Fees are nonrefundable and registrants will receive confirmation of payment via e-mail.
